The Wrekin
A prominent hill, 407m (1,335 ft), south-west of Telford, topped by a 20-acre Iron Age hillfort attributed to the Cornovii tribe, built around 400 BC. It's a well-known Shropshire walk, managed as part of the Wrekin Forest by the Shropshire Wildlife Trust, under the Wrekin Forest Partnership.

Distance from the house
Reported as about 5 miles from Telford town centre, though that figure is measured from the town centre, not from the house, and states no driving time. The exact drive time from the house is still to be confirmed.
Practical tips
- It's a working hill walk rather than a staffed attraction, so bring suitable footwear.
- The nearest car park, walk length and any parking fee are still to be confirmed.
