Terms of booking
1. Who this contract is with
A booking made through this website is a contract between you (the lead guest) and Shropshire Retreat Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17522126) , for the property at St George's, Telford ("the property"). The full address is sent to you once your booking is confirmed.
2. Making a booking
A booking is requested by selecting dates, reviewing the price shown on screen, entering your details, and paying through our payment provider, Stripe. A booking is only confirmed once payment (or, where the owner reviews requests before confirming, authorisation of payment) has succeeded and you have received a confirmation email.
3. Price and payment
The price shown at the time you book is the price you pay; it is calculated on our server and cannot be altered by you. If your check-in date is more than 3650 days away at the time of booking, you pay a deposit of 30% of the total at booking, with the balance charged automatically to the same payment method 30 days before check-in. If your check-in date is within that window, the full amount is taken at booking.
A refundable damage deposit of £50.00 is also taken, as a separate charge, at the time of booking, using the same payment method. It is not part of the booking price and is refunded in full after checkout, normally within a few working days of the property being checked, once the owner is satisfied there is no damage to deduct for.
4. Cancellation
All bookings are non-refundable once paid, whatever the length of stay. This applies to a cancellation, a shortened stay, and a date change to cheaper dates. The only exception is if we cancel your booking, in which case you receive a full refund. See the cancellation policy for the full wording. The policy that applied when you booked is recorded against your booking and is the one that governs it, even if this page is updated later.
5. House rules
You agree to the house rules when you book; the version you accepted, and the time you accepted it, are recorded against your booking.
6. Our liability
We are responsible for providing the property in the condition described on this website. We are not liable for losses that are not a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract, for losses that are not caused by our fault, or for business losses, since the property is let for private use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
7. Governing law
This contract is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections that apply wherever you live.
